What is Progressive Retinal Atrophy or PRA-b?

Progessive Retinal Atrophy or PRA-b in bengal cats causes blindness. Its a genetic condition, inherited from parents.
It destroys the cells in the back of the eye which registers light.
If the bengal cat is positive for this, it can start from 7 weeks old, gradually reducing the cats vision. Symptoms can be increased vocalization, more dilated pupils and difficulty seeing at night. By the time they are 2, the bengal cat can be blind.
A simple genetic swap test will ensure the cat is free of this.
